Yanina Wickmayer, Belgian Tennis Star, Signs with IMG

Brussels, Belgium, October 30, 2008 – Yanina Wickmayer, the 19 year old Belgian tennis player, has signed with IMG, the world’s largest sports marketing and management agency, it was announced today by Igor Takacs, Vice President of IMG Belgium.
Yanina has achieved some notable results this year which include reaching her first Sony Ericsson WTA Tour final at the DFS Classic in Birmingham and the quarter-finals of Seoul. Wickmayer, from Lier, Belgium, has seen her Sony Ericsson WTA Tour ranking jump 350 places to a career high of 62 in just 12 months.
“I’m very excited to have signed with IMG and am really looking forward to working with the new team”, says Yanina Wickmayer.
Forstmann Little & Co. purchased IMG in 2004.
