USPTA Offers High School Coaches Workshop at World Conference on Tennis
The United States Professional Tennis Association will offer a whole day of education during its high school coaches workshop on Friday, Sept. 19, during the World Conference on Tennis at La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, Calif. The daylong workshop, which is sponsored by the USTA, is only $50.
The day’s agenda will include:
7-8:30 a.m. Breakfast
8:30-10 a.m. Doubles dissected: a comprehensive look, Tom Gullikson
10:30 a.m.-noon Stroke production and corrective techniques, Rick Macci
Noon-1 p.m. National Cardio Tennis feeding contest finals
1-2:30 p.m. Consistency and patterns of play, Lori McNeil
3-4 p.m. Drills, drills, drills, Kim Davis and Rachel Mayer
Tennis injuries: prevention and treatment, Todd Ellenbecker
4:30-5:30 p.m. Teaching through problem solving and guided discovery, Townsend
Gilbert
Motivational coaching: optimizing the coach-player relationship, Jeff
Greenwald
6-7 p.m. Dynamite doubles, Helle Sparre
Manage without losing your mind, Ajay Pant
