Peter Burwash International and Prince Announce New Strategic Global Partnership
Bordentown, NJ — After more than a twenty year relationship with its former partner, Peter Burwash International (PBI) has officially announced that Prince will assume the role of official equipment provider of PBI, to be carried at all international PBI locations and used exclusively by its global staff of teaching professionals.
From its inception in 1975, Peter Burwash International has grown to define tennis’ international teaching landscape. With more than three million lessons “under its belt” and led by industry icon, author, and former ATP touring pro Peter Burwash, PBI has become the largest international tennis management company in the world providing first-class resorts, clubs and hotels with the highest quality teaching professionals and tennis programs available.
“The decision to switch and make Prince the official equipment of PBI is the culmination of much thought and observation and the result of what we have seen from the resurging Prince brand over the last couple of years,” said Peter Burwash, founder and President of PBI. “The quality of products Prince continues to bring to market in all categories, its strategic vision, contagious passion for the sport and unmatched customer service capabilities were ultimately undeniable and we knew we needed to align our pro shops and our staff with this brand. Like Prince, PBI is tennis obsessed, focused on taking players’ games to the next level and we are most comfortable having our teaching professionals use and recommend Prince products for the best on-court experience.”
Currently, PBI manages more than fifty of the world’s most elite resorts and to expand its reach in Asia and the Middle East, has recently built relationships with global property holders such as Four Seasons and Rosewood Resorts. Moving forward, every PBI pro shop, from the Grand Hyatt Seoul to the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay to the Four Seasons Resort in Doha, Qatar, and its more than 85 world-renowned teaching professionals, will carry and recommend Prince racquets, footwear, strings, grips and accessories for its knowledgeable and discerning guests.
“We are extremely excited to partner with Peter and PBI, which has an expansive global reach and incredible success in providing players around the world with unparalleled instruction, equipment guidance and great tennis experiences,” said Doug Fonte, President of Prince Americas. “Prince continues to focus on delivering players the best equipment and service in the industry and to have someone like Peter recognize that, means a lot. We are excited to begin this partnership and introduce even more players and teaching pros around the globe to the incredible benefits of O3 racquet technology, Recoil string and Precision Tube footwear among many other performance products.”
