Racquet Sports Industry Offers New Marketing Opportunity in 2008

September 17, 2007

Racquet Sports Industry, the largest tennis trade publication in the world, will be offering a new marketing opportunity in 2008 called the “RSI.com Site Block.” The Site Block is an exclusive sponsorship of RSI Magazine’s official website, TennisIndustryMag.com, for one-month intervals.

Site Block sponsors will receive exclusive advertisement opportunities on every page of TennisIndustryMag.com. On the home page, sponsors will receive a banner ad across the top of the page. On subsequent pages, they will get a skyscraper ad running down the left side of each page, as well as a footer ad at the bottom of each page. Home page banner ads will be 627 pixels wide by 102 pixels high, skyscraper ads will be 160 pixels wide with no limit on height, and footer ads will be 336 pixels wide by 280 pixels high.

While RSI.com Site Block ad dimensions will be limited, the impact of these ads will be limited only by the imagination and creativity of the sponsor each month. Some may choose to run static display ads, while others may choose to add animation. Site Block sponsors can link their ads to pages on their own websites or use ads to promote special offers.

RSI redesigned and re-launched its website in May 2007. Since the re-launch, traffic to the site has increased steadily each month, and by August, traffic had increased more than 5 times. “This makes TennisIndustryMag.com a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in reaching the most comprehensive list possible of racquet sports industry professionals,” says David Bone, co-publisher of RSI magazine.

“With so much increased activity on the site, and a limited number of Site Blocks available, we expect these Site Blocks to sell out very quickly for 2008,” adds Jeff Williams, co-publisher of RSI magazine.

TennisIndustryMag.com offers its visitors access to news from the industry as it happens. Visitors will find continually updated information on the business of tennis and other racquet sports.

The website also offers more in-depth and extra coverage of many stories that run in the printed magazine. The site even offers an RSS feed that allows visitors to be notified whenever a new story hits the site. In addition to breaking news, visitors will also find the greatest archive of racquet sports business-related stories anywhere on the web. All the past issues of RSI magazine are housed on the site, with improved search capabilities.

Anyone interested in more information about the new RSI.com Site Blocks should contact John Hanna, RSI advertising director, or Cindy Sherman. John Hanna can be reached at 770-650-1102 x125 or [email protected]. Cindy can be reached at 203-263-5243 or [email protected].

Racquet Sports Industry is the only magazine that exclusively covers the racquet sports business, including unmatched coverage of equipment, apparel, racquet service, racquetball, squash, badminton and more. RSI, which is published 10 times each year, has become an essential tool for those in the racquet sports business.
