Ferris State Professional Tennis Management and Midtown Clubs Announce Partnership
August 1, 2007 — The Ferris State University Professional Tennis Management (PTM) program and Midtown Clubs are excited to announce their recent partnership intended to benefit the entire tennis industry. Midtown Clubs, the nation’s leader in upscale athletic club and sports resort management, will partner with the #1 PTM program in the nation to produce outstanding tennis professionals for the industry.
The partnership will include Midtown Clubs identifying talented and motivated students from their junior development programs interested in pursuing a career in the tennis industry. The Ferris State PTM program will educate and train these students through their comprehensive Bachelor of Science degree program and upon graduation these students will enter the industry through Midtown Clubs and facilities across the nation. The partnership seeks to build on the existing success of both organizations.
Midtown is a leader in upscale athletic club and sports resort management. The company currently operates 13 clubs throughout the United States and Canada. Midtown Tennis and Athletic Clubs is one of four divisions of the Tennis Corporation Of America (TCA) Holdings, LLC. Ferris State University’s Professional Tennis Management program offers a four year Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Tennis Management with a choice of a Marketing or Resort Management concentration. Ferris’s program was the first four year program of its kind in the nation, boasts a 100% job placement rate for their graduates, and continues to be the industry model for like programs across the country.
