PTR Schedules Professional Development Weekend
Hilton Head Island, SC — Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will hold its annual Professional Development Weekend, September 13-16, 2007. The annual event will be held at PTR Headquarters on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
World renowned expert on teaching tennis to children, Mike Barrell, will conduct a Growing Kids, Growing the Game workshop. Sports psychologists, Dr. Bryce Young and Linda LeClaire, will present a course on Mental Game Mastery, as well as conduct Mental Match Play. PTR Directors, Iñaki Balzola and Jack Waite, are offering a new course - Teaching Advanced Stroke Production. One lucky participant in Stan Oley’s workshop, Teaching Today’s Modern Game with a Ball Machine, will win a Playmate Ball Mower, valued at $450! Teaching & Marketing Cardio Tennis and 101 Match Play Drills will both be conducted by PTR Master Professional, Ken DeHart. Attendees can earn their PTR wheelchair certification in Dan James’ Instructing Wheelchair Tennis with Advanced Skills & Drills. In addition, participants can start each day with a Cardio Tennis class to get their blood pumping.
